Getting to this point in my voyage as a writer takes many things-time, hard work, sacrifice, money, and most importantly, help. One person can’t tackle the entire job, or all of the small things. It may not take a village, but it can get pretty close.
This page is devoted to those that helped along the way.

Family
First off, my family has done so much to support me, by giving me a sounding board, or helping cover the costs, and telling me when something I written just isn’t good enough or needs more work. They’ve sat with me, board to death, during book signings and conventions, or brought me lunch while I was stuck at the table. I can’t thank them enough.
I also want to thank everyone that read and profided feedback, and those that beta read for me (Jenn, Ruth, Kyle, Elli, and Tyler). I appreciate you all!
I would be remiss to add the support from writing forums and author websites that provide valuable feedback and new ideas.
Please check out the highlights below.
I discovered this website by accident, but it’s been a great resource. The group is a bunch of people like me, writers working to make their dream into something more. The members are amazing and very supportive. It’s a valuable resource. They do offer software for purchase to help with writing, but purchase isn’t required to interact with the group.
I found out about AllAuthor from the fine folks at Fictionary. It’s another great resource for authors, and it helps you reach a wider audience. Even with the no-cost version, they provide authors with the means to increase their social media presence and draw attention to their work.
This is the website for a friend of mine that writes as well. We swap manuscript drafts and help each other polish our stories. He’s a writer and musician, and I’m thankful to have someone like him out there.
It’s Your Book Coaching Services
I discovered Elli through Fictionary when I agreed to beta read one of her forthcoming novels. In return, she took a look at one of my drafts, even though it wasn’t her preferred genre. She opened my eyes to some of the newbie author mistakes that only a seasoned writer will see.
Some of her comments set me back, others even hurt the first time, but it was exactly what I needed. I cannot thank her enough for giving me that push. It’s funny how those things work, but I feel my writing will go several levels higher.
“Show, don’t tell!”
If your an aspiring author, her services can definitely help make the difference.
Mel-Cat Illustrations
I haven’t had the best luck finding someone to handle the artwork, but I lucked out discovering Melinda. I plan to work with her going forward for consistent style in the artwork, and she’s an extremely talented artist.
She attends some of the local conventions and events to sell her other artwork, so if you see her, please stop and check out her art!
