This book features fascinating characters that each contain multi-faceted backgrounds, personalities, and stories that uniquely contribute to the plot. The mystery behind the identity of the villain/villains is hidden for a good portion of the beginning which entices you to read more and then once it’s revealed you won’t be able to get enough of it. My absolute favorite part of this book is the hilarious relationship between Angela and Joe, the dialogue between them is fast-paced and witty to the point where some parts had me laughing out loud. Overall, a great tale focusing on the balance of good and evil that has you rooting for the good guys the entire time. A fantastic start to what I hope will become a great series.

I love reading an author’s first book. Typically, somewhere during your reading however, you’ll remember it’s their first story—something will be off. I did not have that experience with this book at all. The characters had a depth to them, and they were interesting. The plot had twists that I couldn’t see coming. I thought this book was well written! It’s got a paranormal aspect to it that I thought was interesting- it gave room for plot twists that readers wouldn’t expect. I highly recommend this book!
